A bride wants nothing more than to look and feel beautiful on her wedding day, and celebrities are no different. Of course, they can spend a bit more money on their gowns, resulting in customized creations that are both gorgeous and expensive.
From Serena Williams’s $3.5 million Alexander McQueen dress to Grace Kelly’s iconic $60,000 Helen Rose gown, here are some of the priciest and most fabulous wedding dresses of all time.
Nicole Kidman: $20,000
When Nicole Kidman wed country music star Keith Urban in 2006, she wore a gorgeous Balenciaga creation, designed specifically for her by Nicolas Ghesquière.
The dress cost $20,000 and featured puffed sleeves on the shoulders, and was trimmed with delicate ruffles. According to Kidman, “It’s the most exquisite dress, and it is so beautiful.”
Nicole Richie: $20,000
Nicole Richie married Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden in 2010, wearing a beautiful long-sleeve Marchesa gown, complete with “Nicole Richie & Joel Madden” embroidered on the inside of the sleeve.”
While it was a statement dress walking down the aisle, the custom gown was not cheap, costing Richie a whopping $20,000.
Kate Middleton: $400,000
Kate Middleton might have worn one of the most gorgeous custom pieces of all time during her wedding to Prince William. The gown was designed by Sarah Burton and featured hand-cut, individually-applied English and French Chantilly lace roses, daffodils for Wales, thistles for Scotland, and shamrocks for Ireland.
The custom gown cost a whopping $400,000.

In 1981, Princess Diana stunned the world in her gorgeous custom Victorian-style gown. Her dress featured puffed shoulders, 10,000 pearls and sequins, a grand 25-foot-long train, and 250-yards of lace, tulle, and ivory silk taffeta.
The dramatic gown is timeless (even if puffy shoulders and shoulder pads aren’t!) and cost between $1115,000 and $150,000.

During her wedding to Kris Humphries in 2011, reality television star Kim Kardashian had a selection of Vera Wang dresses she chose from for her big day. The thing is, each of the designer’s gowns cost $25,000 (and she had a few!).
The iconic dress she chose to wear down the aisle was strapless, and she opted to wear a halo headpiece, giving her look a very bohemian vibe.
Victoria Beckham: $100,000
Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, married professional soccer player David Beckham on July 4th, 1999, wearing a stunning Vera Wang-designed gown.

While there is no actual price point on Paris Hilton’s custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, it is said to have cost over $25,000. A stunning gown, it featured a high neckline and long sleeves, both carefully embroidered to resemble flowers.
