One of Elvis Presley's private jets sat on a New Mexico runway for 35 years before being auctioned off to an undisclosed buyer for $430,000.

The luxurious plane was personally designed by Presley and has some jaw-dropping features such as red velvet seats, red shag carpeting, and gold-tone woodwork – all a perfect setting for the King to travel in style. At the time of its sale, the plane did not have an engine and also needed renovations in the cockpit.

The NFL's New England Patriots have their own luxurious aircraft to fly them to games across the country. The Boeing 767 was purchased by team owner Robert Kraft in August 2017. He didn't buy just one, but two Boeings for the Patriots.

Jim Nolan, COO of Gillette Stadium, told CBS Sports, "The players historically have sat on coach seats on a domestic aircraft, so what we did with these seats, was first, we got the widest and largest seat that you can put on this plane. Most importantly, from a player perspective, we've added five-inches of legroom beyond what a typical first-class seat has."
